we
should all look at the labels in clothes before we buy them. If they are not
made from natural fibres..cotton, bamboo, wool, linen and just a few others
produced in small quantities we should not buy them. Polyester clothes sent to
landfill 30 + years ago has not bio-degraded at all, even the dyes are still
fast, the same goes for Nylon, and acrylics. The worst culprit is polypropylene
for which the base feedstock can be either natural gas or crude oil (like
polyester) If we buy natural fibre clothes they really can be recycled or turn
themselves into soil from which all but wool came.
