its biblical. bamboo needs no irrigation, pesticides or chemicals to grow. Bamboo is a grass and is biodegradable. no oil no gas no coal needed.

If you think global warming will not change how biodiversity and the balance of nature work, think again. a gradual change maybe but its not going to stay as ok as it is.  how many species do we have to lose to notice inter reliance.
