Viscose of Bamboo has another wonderful property, it’s softer to the touch yet it is as durable than cotton but for that extra wet strength we add cotton to the blend when the yarn is spun, but bamboo as a raw material is much more ecologically sustainable than cotton and of course nylon and polyester which are oil derived fibres as it grows without synthetic chemicals such as fertiliser and pesticides. Unlike cotton growing bamboo needs no irrigation. the vast majority of cotton is grown with the aid of chemical fertiliser and pesticides 20 % of all agricultural pesticides used annually are used in growing cotton.
Our Bamboo viscose /cotton Bed Linen sheeting is 110 in the warp and 90 in the weft. This means that our sheeting fabric is 200 threads per inch.
