The bamboo fibres are hollow, just as a bamboo cane is hollow. This allows the fabric to breathe and ensures that baby is cool in summer and warm in winter. On a practical note and due to the same property of bamboo fibres, it is easier to dry either in the fresh air outside or in your dryer.
We also recommend the 100% bamboo towelling for babies as bamboo is around 30% more absorbent than cotton, just a quick cuddle and a dab, baby is dry very quickly.

Better still bamboo yields 50 times more fibre per acre than cotton (Durst 2006). Growing cotton crops accounts for 11% of all pesticides and 25% of all insecticides used each year worldwide. A quantitative anti bacterial test has been carried out which shows that harmful bacterial strains such as Staphylococus aureus when subjected to a 24 hour incubation period, the bamboo fabric showed a 99.8% bacterial destroy rate.
