Bamboo Textiles Ltd had tests carried out by a regional university which is noted for its health care and medical faculties.
We asked The University of Central Lancashire to analyse and to determine the antibacterial properties of most of our fabrics used for various products.
Our Bamboo Cotton fabrics proved to be by far the most effective inhibitor on the growth of well known and topical bacteria which cause problems in healthcare. The tests included washing fabrics 50 times and both unwashed and washed fabrics were strong inhibitors.
We are therefore proud to launch our bamboo cotton range of bedlinen consisting of bamboo cotton sheets, bamboo cotton duvet covers, bamboo cotton pillowcases augmented by bamboo and polyester pillows. For children we already have bamboo cotton pyjamas for ages from 1 to 10.
