Bamboo fibre is a regenerated fibre made from the most sustainable plant which grows about one metre a day. It is a different species to those eaten by pandas. Bamboo needs no irrigation, no pesticides, no chemical pesticides and no manipulation of Mother nature. The yield is 50 times more per acre than cotton. Bamboo is a type of densely growing grass which produces 35% more oxygen than equivalent stands of trees. It absorbs huge amounts of CO2
Bamboo Textiles has installed a PhotoVoltaic solar panel array over 100 sq metres on the roof of our premises. In the first 6 months since installation 1.5 tons of CO2 has been saved by generating our own electricity.
